Because of the impact this program had on my life nearly 40 years ago, I viewed it as non negotiable for our children to attend. They returned home from camp more passionate about following Jesus and eager to make a difference by leading through serving where God planted them—in their home, youth group, and school. Although this program comes with a cost, we’ll never regret making the choice to send them

God used the program to reveal things in my life that were lacking, specifically virtue. I lacked purpose in my heart to do right, even though my parents laid a biblical foundation to follow, and I knew what to do and say. I had to make the choice for myself. Would I to do right because of my family or because I believed? CIT helped me understand that I had to take my faith as my own, search the Bible on my own, and purpose to do right.

The reason CIT is so effective is because it combines hands-on leadership, potent training, and most importantly, a saturation of Scripture, all with a refreshing emphasis on humility and servanthood. In short, it’s because God is involved and honored every step of the way. It changed my life, and I will relentlessly advocate for any teen to experience these two weeks of memories, adrenaline, friendship, and spiritual growth!
