Scripture memory verses
Memorizing God’s Word remains a cornerstone of our summer youth camps. A lamp to our feet and a light to our path, Bible passages that campers memorize stay with them wherever they go. Juniors and teens can access this summer’s memory verses in early spring in order to get a head start before arriving at camp.

Meet our extraordinary team

What should I bring to camp?
Bible, twin sheets or a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, toiletries, camera, flashlight, spending money (for the Craft Shop, Canteen, Cool Bean Express, and more), swimsuit, jacket, sports clothes for activities, nice casual clothes for informal services, and at least one pair of shoes that can get wet.
Casual dress is appropriate for the informal camp atmosphere.
Men/Boys: Clothing should be loose-fitting and come at least to the top of the knee. Please no gaping tank tops. For evening services, we encourage classy casual dress—please avoid athletic-wear. For water activities, please wear dark shirts and shorts/swim trunks. For boys-only swim times, shirts are not required.
Ladies/Girls: Clothing should be loose-fitting and come at least to the top of the knee, and cover midriffs and undergarments. Please no low necklines, narrow shoulder straps, or tank tops. For evening services, we encourage classy casual dress—please avoid athletic-wear. For water activities, please wear dark shirts and shorts over swimwear. For girls-only swim times, a one-piece swimsuit or a tankini that overlaps at the waist is acceptable.
The Wilds reserves the right to ask anyone to change his or her outfit if, in the estimation of the staff, it does not comply with these standards.
-
Should I bring spending money?
All activities offered during the week are included in the cost of camp. Spending money is recommended for purchases at the JBC Store, Canteen, Craft Shop, Cool Beans Express, and vending machines. Most campers spend about $50–75.
Most campers utilize WildsPay, instead of cash, for their spending money. WildsPay is available to all summer campers and sponsors.
-
What is WildsPay?
WildsPay is a way for summer campers and sponsors to purchase items at camp without having to use or carry cash. At check-in, campers using WildsPay will be given a waterproof wristband that is linked to the account set up by their parents that will be used for making all purchases at camp. Purchases will be made by scanning their wristband at the register or vending machine.
The goal is to help eliminate the need for cash and loose change.
-
What if I have special dietary requirements?
All meals are included in the price of camp. Although we are unable to provide alternative meal options for campers with dietary restrictions, we do have a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and small toaster oven available for campers. Please contact us for more information and to receive a copy of the meals planned for your visit.
-
What if I’m hungry in the middle of the day?
You can take advantage of the Cool Beans Express where you can buy Italian crème sodas, boba tea, and IZZEs, or head over to the Canteen to get some junk food to stave off your hunger! You can buy chips, ice cream, candy bars, and other snacks.
